Mission Support Grants Within Hamilton Conference
Mission Support Grants come from a budgeted amount of funding from the national church through the Mission and Service Fund of The United Church of Canada. The Hamilton Conference Mission Strategy and Support Committee, made up of representatives from various presbyteries, does the challenging work of receiving and discerning mission support grant requests. For more information see our Mission Support Grants page.

Investment in Mission and Ministry Fund
The Investment in Mission and Ministry Fund was created with gratitude from the sale proceeds of Hamilton Conference churches that ceased to exist and who chose to leave a legacy that gives birth to new life. The fund seeks to encourage and support defining, developing and/or implementing, and documenting/evaluating new visioning and new directions in mission and ministry in congregations, pastoral charges, ministries, and presbyteries within the bounds of Hamilton Conference.
The Conference fund has three “pathways,” with priority being given to projects that address the Conference mission and ministry priorities. Priority will be given to applications that indicate shared funding and/or partnerships with other potential sources and applications that have already secured partial funding. Partners can be other United Churches, other denominations or faith groups, community agencies, etc. and not necessarily be monetary in nature. The fund is administered and allocated through the Mission Strategy and Support Committee of Hamilton Conference.
There are 3 application deadlines annually: January 31, April 30, and August 31. Applications must be completed with all required documentation attached before they can be considered.
